SLEEPYTIME GORILLA MUSEUM

Sleepytime Gorilla Museum are, and will always be one of my favorite musical ensembles in the history of avant-garde music (and possibly music in general). Their sound is so unique and powerful, and unlike most dime a dozen "experimental" groups that just swap between time signatures and vocal styles to seem "esoteric" or "different", SGM performs these acts flawlessly and always have a reason for what they do. Their music and lyrics are inseparable, and everything about them demands your undivided attention. The philosophies, metaphors, and intricate history woven into their music truly makes them stand out as something more than a band. Something much...MUCH more, which is what brings me to my next point: their live performances. Sadly I was never able to see the Museum perform one of it's many wonderful shows in person before they closed their doors, but it's impossible to discuss this group without praising their brilliant stage shows, which are not truly concerts, but more like otherworldly ceremonies, incorporating elements of improv, butoh dance, minstrel shows, and anything else the curators of the museum saw fit. Trust me, it's something else.
If you have never listened to these brilliant masterminds, I suggest you do so immediately.

Spider Compass Good Crime Band - Vultures Serenade With Human Organs

Artist: Spider Compass Good Crime Band
Album: Vultures Serenade With Human Organs
Genre: I don't even know
Information: No clue. Can't find anything on these guys. For all I know they're a figment of my imagination in the form of what I've always wanted out of noise music. If you guys find no link, and I'm just fantasizing this band's existence, I apologize.

Slave State - Age Of Man

Artist: Slave State
Album: Age Of Man
Genre: Industrial, Power Electronics
Information: Early, short-lived, and influential US power electronics/industrial group that began in 1987. The band ceased upon the death of Boris Dragos (by suicide) in 1988. The band released two cassettes, made a few live appearances, participated on an Intrinsic Action recording, and recorded three compilation tracks (one of which was, to the band’s knowledge, never released — nor was a backup made of the track).

Feeling better (sorta)

Decided I'll keep the blog, since there doesn't seem to be any negative correlation with it or whatever. Expect a new share by Tuesday.

Self Fulfilling Prophecy

"In case serious shit goes down".

Poor choice of words, considering the events of tonight. Guess I'll still share, but it might not be as much.

We're all fucked

Megaupload is dead. Mediafire is next. If some serious shit goes down, I hope you enjoyed the content I posted here. Much love. Peace æons ++++

GENRE: SISSY FUCKIN SPACEK

Djinn - Suicide Box Bonus CDr (Lossless)

Artist: Djinn
Album: Suicide Box (Bonus CDr)
Genre: Dark ambient, Industrial
Information: Djinn has long been one of my all time favorite musicians. I discovered his work several years ago on the album "Katharos", a chilling compilation of tracks he had recorded in the early 2000's, which demanded my attention through repeated listens. His music is a wonderful combination of dark ambient and industrial music, with influences ranging from Lustmord and Throbbing Gristle to the amazing Atrax Morgue. I recently acquired the rare, 111-copy-limited Suicide Box, which is a collection of all his major releases. I will be uploading the other albums shortly, but for now, I hope this will tide you over. It is a rare bonus CDr that was unreleased, save for this box. Basically, what I'm saying is, I'm one of 111 people who are privileged enough to own this rare and captivating item.

CoH - Mask of Birth

Artist: CoH
Album: Mask of Birth
Genre: Abstract Electronic, Experimental, Minimalist Electronica
Info: CoH is the musical alias of Иван Павлов (Ivan Pavlov), a Russian-born sound artist and engineer. He has lived in Sweden since 1995. After Pavlov moved to Sweden, he adopted the alias COH which can be read in Cyrillic as well as in Latin and means in Russian ‘sleep’ or ‘dream’. CoH was once a collaborator of Coil and also worked with Annie Anxiety, Richard Chartier and Cosey Fanni Tutti. Side projects include oxy and SoiSong (a band with ex-Coil member Peter Christopherson)

わたしのココ - わたしのココ

Artist: わたしのココ(watashinokoko)
Album: わたしのココ
Genre: Noise, Electronic music, Chiptune, Ambient
Information: Don't let this band's innocent appearance fool you. They are a destructive and vicious force to be reckoned with. What started off as an ambient music project similar to the music style of kikiyama rapidly devolved into a madman's distorted thoughts and sickening desires. Innocent voices sing against relentless walls of noise and stomach-churning sub-bass effects. HARSH NOISE MIXED WITH CHIPTUNE AND ELECTRONIC MUSIC FROM JAPAN, NOT FOR PUSSIES.

Revised List

Wasn't happy with 5 to a genre, so I expanded/edited the list a bit.

Enjoy!

Peter Sotos - Buyer's Market (Lossless)

Artist: Peter Sotos
Album: Buyer's Market
Genre: Sound collage
Information: One of my favorite albums of all time, Buyer's Market is a disturbing and gut wrenching compilation of interviews with victims and survivors of rape, abuse, humiliation, and torment. Peter Sotos is best known for his work with the influential power electronics outfit Whitehouse, where he temporarily provided lyrics and concepts. This album is him (and any of the Whitehouse club in my opinion) at his absolute greatest. This album is NOT for the weak of heart, or those easily disturbed. This album is not a reflection of human emotion and suffering. This album IS those emotions, captured on tape.

Updates and a list

Hey all. Just wanted to say I WILL continue uploading music, but I just haven't found the time to do so recently. Thankfully I just acquired a few rare physical releases, and will be uploading them in lossless quality within the week!

I also made a list for my favorite music. Figured someone out there would like it.
